MASS ASCENSION
Every year in the first week of October, Albuquerque, NM hosts the International Balloon Fiestas. These photographs were taken during my favorite part of that week: the Mass Ascension. Mass Ascension occurs at sunrise, weather permitting, and it is the only time all of the hot air balloons take to flight. It is truly a magical experience. This series was highlighted in the lobby of the Eldorado Hotel in 2015 and on the 5th floor of the Drury Hotel in 2016. Both hotels are located in Santa Fe, NM.
